Honest-1’s Rick DuChene and Steve Ahrens were recently featured in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The reporter began the story by noting that the snow started flying last week, and many drivers were knocking on the doors of Honest-1 before opening time to get new tires. The problem is the winter weather began hitting before most drivers expected. Rick and Steve did a great job discussing the importance of having the tires checked and rotated. Steve also mentioned that drivers should budget $100 a month for routine car maintenance.

The segment featured Sherry Rector, Honest-1 Auto Care Owner, talking about how viewers can drive safely on icy roads. CBS 5 Charleston on Wednesday, February 11th, 2014. In the segment Sherry talks about how to handle black ice while you’re driving on the roads. Sherry talks about tips the drivers can use if they run into problems out on the roads. The tips she offers include letting the car drive you by taking your foot off the gas and to not slam on your breaks. Furthermore, she talks about how you should steer into the direction that your car is headed and let your car take the lead if you run into black ice.

On Tuesday, January 28th, 2014 WSYX Columbus, OH (ABC and FOX) featured Danni Diol, Honest-1 Auto Care Owner. In the segment Danni discusses the extreme cold weather and how car owners have had battery/starting issues along with tire, shocks, alignment damage due to potholes. January is typically a slow month for car repair shops, but the Honest-1 folks were able to mention that they have seen an uptick in car counts.
